Hello, welcome to Mark & Cat's Shepler's bodybuilding site. Married 26 years with six children, Mark and Cat are Florida's only NPC Master Class (Age 50+) husband and wife entrants in the recent NPC 2012 Florida Gold Cup/Amanda Marinelli Classic. The event is a State Championship & National Qualifying competition and was held Saturday, Nov. 17th at the Palm Beach Convention Center.
Mark has worked out continuously for over 30 years, including within two weeks after a near-death heart attack in 2009 but has never competed. His larger goal is to use a good showing to launch a Personal Fitness Training business that caters to the mature. Though Cat has stayed fit through aerobic exercise and mild resistance training, she's never trained at a more serious level until mid-2012 after successfully begging, pleading and cajoling Mark to train her. After only a month she lost 15lbs and had toned-up nicely when the idea to compete together in an upcoming show took hold. Both feel that working towards a challenging goal together and the support and camaraderie of the other has been a real plus both in its pursuit and for their relationship.
Mark entered the Men's Masters Bodybuilding class and Cat the Women's Masters Figure Competition and are trained by Debi Laszewski, one of the top professional bodybuilders and trainers in the world. For over four months they kept the strict discipline and met the rigorous challenges of competing at the state level. Stayed tuned for show results, updates and pics!
